About Open Road

Helping Struggling Readers Find Their Path Forward

At Open Road, we believe every child deserves access to expert reading support, no matter where they live or how much they’re struggling. That’s why we offer affordable, online tutoring rooted in the Orton-Gillingham method and delivered by certified teachers across the U.S.

Founded by a special education teacher and reading intervention specialist, Open Road was built to be the kind of support system families truly need: structured, personalized, and grounded in what works.

We focus exclusively on helping children who struggle with:

  • Dyslexia or language-based learning differences

  • Decoding and phonemic awareness challenges

  • Low reading confidence or avoidance

  • Gaps in fluency and comprehension

We are not a large corporate platform. Every tutor on our team is hand-selected by our founder to ensure they bring both the right credentials and the right heart.
